Happy Holidays and hoping you are able to connect and spend time with your friends and family during the home stretch of 2021.  As I look towards 2022, I have a question for you:  Have you tried having a “word of the year”? How did it work for you?  Did it guide you throughout the year or did you forget about it along the way?  

In some ways, I feel a “word of the year” is yet another “buzzy” thing to think about and try to apply.  I have my WHY, my core values, my mission and vision, what else do I need to anchor and guide me?  Well, I’ve decided to try it and here’s why. 

I’m starting 2022 with 3 words that I want to be “my words for 2022” – Curated, Consistency, Completed.  I believe in the power of 3’s and these fit with my WHY, mission, vision and values.  These words represent my HOW.  They are helping guide my strategy and actions that will shape my year so I can achieve my personal and professional goals.   

Here’s a bit of why I chose these words.

Curation – Curating my program offerings, experiences, clients and building a community that needs and wants these options is important. As a curator of experiences and an architect of connections, being selective in what is offered and how and to whom it’s delivered is critical to success.   

Consistency – Consistency is everything in business and life.  You need to do what you say you will do and not just once, but over and over.  I have to walk my talk.  My brand, messaging and outreach has to work together and be delivered on multiple platforms multiple times so that it is seen, heard and clear for all.

Completion – We all have lots of ideas, but how many get lost or forgotten early on or midstream.  True, maybe some should not make the final cut.  But those that do, need to be implemented and completed. As entrepreneurs, we all have a bit of ADD and lots of ideas in us.  Focus, consistency and completion aren’t always guaranteed.

2020 and 2021 have been challenging for so many of us.  Having the ability to keep ourselves above water along with our teams and family, has been no small task.  2022 may require us to continue to do the same. Although we are getting better at it and smarter about what matters, it doesn’t make it easier. If we use our words as a guide, refining our strategy and making the necessary shifts should happen more easily and with clarity.

My words have helped me define and refine the MastermindEX offerings for 2022. They include:

• Mastermind EXperiences –Curated global learning experiences, events, retreats, meetings, conferences, team building and more for small and large companies, nonprofits, trade organizations (EO, YPO, Vistage, and others) that are designed, and delivered virtually, in-person and hybrid.
• MastHERmind EXchanges – Specifically for women entrepreneurs and professionals who want to make changes to their work life. They have been contemplating a variety of ideas or need inspiration, this will support the transitions and help them identify and create their dream business opportunity and life with the support of 8-10 curated professionals in each MastHERmind EXchange group. Virtual.
• Mastermind EXchanges -For business teams to extend their learning and team building programs and support innovation, expansion and ongoing business challenges.
• CONNECT – Small group coaching for professionals who identify as introverted or socially challenged and need to improve their interpersonal connection strategies and skills to achieve their personal and professional goals. Virtual.
• The Dream Lunch Club – A community for professionals and entrepreneurs to meet and hone their connection and business strategies and skills one lunch at a time. Learn communication, and outreach techniques; business and sales strategies and the latest trends and topics from experts at lunch power hours; along with how to create your dream lunch opportunities and be matched with inspiring business professionals monthly.   Virtual and in-person.
• The 50 C’s of Cultivating Connection: Your CTA to Building Meaningful Relationships – A book that is in production and will be completed in 2022. (This is the working title!)
• Mission Perfect Accessory – A community supporting women and small business owners sharing their stories of the products, places and projects that impact their lives, create memories and change their world.  Virtual community with in-person storytelling and missions.
